7 Flags Car Wash Earns Third Green Certification

01/29/2010

7 Flags Car Wash announced that its full-service location in Vallejo, Calif., has earned green certification from Solano County. The designation was given Jan. 14 and marks the third time the Vallejo-based carwash chain has achieved green certification from the county. Locations in Vacaville and Fairfield were recognized last year.

“This is a proud day for the entire company as we achieve our goal of becoming green certified company-wide,” said Jack Anthony, president and CEO of 7 Flags Car Wash. “Moving forward, we will continue our stewardship of green business practices, staying current with standards and adopting new ways to conserve resources and prevent pollution in the communities we serve.”

To earn certification, Solano County businesses must demonstrate conservation of energy and water, as well as document steps taken to recycle and reduce waste, company officials said. The county’s certification program works with businesses to become green according to set standards by a team of inspectors from the Solano Garbage Company, city of Fairfield Water Division, Small Business Energy Alliance, Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District and the County Hazardous Materials Division.
